Pastries are an essential part of the good life in Paris. And most patisseries have displays that simply make you gain weight by looking through the windows.And yet most of the français seem to be able to balance the good with the bad. Avoid looking I say!

No no, dont avoid looking, it's half the pleasure already. Why is it that no pastry here in Australia ever looks as appetising as those in France? Unless they come from a French patisserie of course... ;-)
Have you tried the cakes at Sweet Art in Paddington? From memory they were pretty delicious.
